sustainability

As a maker of jewelry, working with non-precious metals, multiple energy sources, and chemicals which have societal and climate impacts, it is necessary to consider sustainability within the PBR. I have and will continue to undertake the following efforts as much as is possible to reduce impacts from my artistic practice:

• The use of recycled metals, including repeated remelting once acquire

• The use of ethically sourced new metals and materials

• Recycling unwanted or unusable metals

• The use of recycled or second-hand materials

• The use of second-hand tools and equipment

• The refurbishment of tools and equipment prior to purchasing new items

• The use of non-toxic chemicals or non-toxic alternatives

• The safe disposal of any toxic chemicals or materials

• Conscientious use of energy sources (gas and electricity)

• Conscientious water consumption
